Delete in the app
Open Otium → Settings → Account settings → Permanently delete account, then read and confirm the warning. If asked, sign in again using your original sign-in method. A directly signed-in account session is required; a paired or guest session cannot manage account deletion. If deletion fails or remains pending, reconnect and retry, or contact support@otiumplayer.com.
Request deletion without the app
Email support@otiumplayer.com with the subject “Otium account deletion” from the email address associated with your Otium account, and state that you want your Otium account and associated data deleted. Use the email link on this page, or any email service. We may ask you to verify ownership before acting. If you cannot access that email address, explain this so we can help verify ownership safely. Do not send provider passwords, complete source URLs, sign-in codes or recovery secrets.
What is removed
The deletion flow removes your Otium authentication account, cloud user/profile and viewing records, authorized-device records, synced provider connections and recovery keys. The active device also removes its local account data, connections, viewing data and downloads and signs you out. Other devices lose account access and clear their local account data on their next successful online connection. Offline devices cannot be erased immediately.
Deletion is complete only when confirmed by the service. A failed connection can leave the request pending; do not treat a sign-out or uninstallation as confirmation that cloud deletion finished.
What may remain
A minimal record of the deleted account identifier and deletion time is retained to reject old access tokens and prevent account access from being restored. It does not keep your provider credentials or viewing history. Support correspondence needed to handle your request, and records required by law or for security, may also remain for those purposes.
Firebase service logs and backup copies follow Google’s retention schedules rather than immediate removal. Google describes removal of deleted Authentication data from live and backup systems as taking up to 180 days. See https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy. Your IPTV provider and app store hold their own independent records; deleting Otium does not delete those accounts or cancel their subscriptions.
Delete selected data instead
You can remove a provider connection, turn off provider-connection sync to remove cloud connection copies while retaining local connections, or use the app’s available local data controls. To ask about deleting specific account records without closing the account, email support@otiumplayer.com and describe the data. Browser player data is session-only; closing that session is separate from deleting an Otium cloud account.
Remove a launch-notification email
To remove an email from the separate Otium launch-notification list, email support@otiumplayer.com from the address you registered and ask us to remove it. This does not require an Otium account. Deleting an app account alone does not remove a separate launch-list entry.
